Veteran News - Driver's Laws and Sales Tax

Local revenue offices can now issue drivers license and ID cards with the word “Veteran” placed below the individual’s picture.  The designation was created by “The Nick Bacon Remembrance Act” in memory of the former Arkansas Department of Veterans Affairs director and Congressional Medal of Honor recipient who passed away in 2010.  Read the whole article New Arkansas Driver’s License to Display Veteran Designation

The Arkansas Veterans Coalition membership voted unanimously to support a state law exempting 100% Arkansas Disabled Veterans from Sales tax at the Point of Sale. This law would exempt 100% disabled Veterans from sales tax on purchases of ALL goods and services at the point of sale.
