RFP Cancellation
The County of Poinsett hereby notifies all actual and potential responders to its Request for Proposals (RFP)
related to the jail expansion of its decision to cancel its RFP. (For reference, the Notice for the Request for
Proposals was published May 14, 2022 and May 21, 2022.)
After careful consideration, Poinsett County determined it is in the public interest for the RFP’s cancellation
since amendments to RFP would be of such magnitude that a new RFP/RFQ is desirable and so that the
County can research and better address questions about American Rescue Plan Act funding and procurement
in a new RFP/RFQ.
No responses to the RFP have been received to date, no responses opening shall occur on June 7, 2022, and
no action shall be taken on this RFP. The County will directly notify any person or entity which requested a copy
of the RFP. Where appropriate and in accordance with state and/or federal law, prospective responders will be
given an opportunity to submit proposals on any re-solicitation of RFPs/RFQs or future requirements for the type
of services involved in the subject RFP.
