Parker Homestead Festival
Parker Homestead, just south of Harrisburg, is a 19th century town that was built from the ground up - curated and cared for by four generations of Parkers.  It has been visited by thousands of folks from all over the world and this year the Festival has been scheduled for two weekends in October:

The Poinsett County Agricultural Fair has been set for September 3rd-7th, 2019  and promises to provide exciting, family entertainment for hundreds of residents from across Poinsett County and the surrounding areas.

Poinsett County Jail and Sheriff's Department Sales Tax Election

Poinsett County’s Quorum Court has called a special election for Aug. 13, 2019. Voters will decide whether to approve a 0.5 percent (1/2 percent) sales and use tax to be used for operating, maintaining, constructing and repairing the existing county jail building and operating the sheriff’s department.
