Burn Ban
A long duration of dry weather has created extreme hazardous conditions for potential fires throughout Poinsett County. \
SECTION I. The court finds that an emergency situation exists in Poinsett County and the hazard potential to life and property is such that a ban and prohibition against outdoor burning is hereby declared until such time as this order is lifted.
SECTION II. This order shall be enforceable by any officer charged with the duties of enforcing criminal laws in Poinsett County.
SECTION III. No outdoor burning will be permitted under any circumstances with the exception of the burning of agricultural crop residue after harvest.
SECTION IV. This order shall go into effect Monday, October 3, 2022, at 3:00 p.m.
